I am obsessing a bit about Mairin's first birthday party. I think the internet has inspired me senseless with regard to that which your average party should entail.
There are some aggressive and preoccupied party-planning-mamas out there and my desire to prove that "I can do it too" has overtaken me.
I've lost my mind.
At the moment, I am focusing on tissue paper flowers.
They're cute, relatively inexpensive and easy to make. Right?
The party is in a few weeks, so we will find out soon enough whether this is a realistic element of decor.
