I think it's a great idea to post some info about ourselves before BlogHer, especially for the newbies like me. And I'm not even going to be at the BlogHer sessions, cause I was a little (5months) late signing up, but I will be at LobbyCon and I will hopefully be meeting lots of you at the parties. So, without further ado, the finer points of me ...
- I like all animals more than most people I know.
- I tend to be reserved to the point of crippling shyness, however, I'm looking at it as I just haven't met the right people yet. And once I get to know you, I'm much more open.
- I've been fighting the battle of the Bulge since I hit puberty. Unlike the Allies, I'm losing the war.
- I'm an avid reader and an English Lit major. I have some pet peeves about grammer usage, and yet I can murder other rules. Go figure!
- I'm a huge baseball fan and I follow the NY Mets which means any mocking of my team by Yankee/Phillie fans may very likely reduce me to tears. For those of you who don't follow the Mets, just be glad. If I disappear all of a sudden, chances are pretty good I'll be in the stands of Wrigley Field.
- I love to cook and I'm really looking forward to trying some of the restaurants around the hotel.
- I have a full time office job but I'm trying to get an on-line retail business up off the ground with my sister Helen. Our company is Fragile Earth Stuffed Animals and we sell ... well, you get the point. We'll be the ones holding the stuffed hedgehog. His name is Rupert and he's our company's mascot. Don't be surprised if we ask if we can take your picture with Rupert. However, I have a habit of toting my camera everywhere and not taking any pictures because I get so iterested in what's going on around me.
- I won't be drinking (personal choice) so if anyone needs free drink tickets, look for the hedgehog.
I hope to meet and talk to lots of you this weekend. Hopefully, I won't make to big an ass of myself:)
