Getting started with Twitter: How the heck do I do this, and why?

Why is everyone so into twitter? What are the benefits? And how do you get started if you don't have friends who twitter? What is the big deal, anyway?

This session will get beginners and intermediates into twitter and into an action plan to understand how to use twitter, why to use it and who to follow. Related tools will also be discussed.

At the end of this session, the user will know:

how to find people and topics on twitter

how to add followers and follow people

why twitter is worth checking out and using.

The presenters--Susan Mernit & Amy Gahran-are both avid twitter users with more that 1,500 followers each--nothing comparied to our dear Queen of Spain, but not a small number.
