Getting Toned Without the Tan Lines: Naked Sports Gear Bras

Getting “naked” and going for a run don’t usually go hand in hand for me — until a few days ago.

I don’t know about you, ladies, but since I run and walk outside a majority of the time (in just a sports bra), I have resigned myself to strap tan lines, especially in the summer.

I first heard about the Naked Sports Gear sport bra from my girl, Donna Burke, the fashion diva behind the fabulous blog Yoga in Heels. I was intrigued by the idea of a sports bra that promised no strap tan lines, which is why I reached out to the ladies at Naked Sports Gear. They were kind enough to send me a sample bra (free of charge!) to put to the test.

The bra comes in several bright colors including orange, green, red, and blue. They are a bit like a bandeau bikini top with mesh straps. I tried my green version (love the color!) during a run on Saturday and thought the support and fit was awesome. (The fit is snug, which is good, as I like to keep the girls in place when I’m bouncing around.)

It was a sunny day, and sure enough, when I returned home, there was only a tan along the base of the bra — no unsightly strap lines on my shoulders and neck! (BTW, I did still apply sunscreen to all areas that would be exposed to the sun. After all, if you’re going to be in the sun, be smart about it!)

I have to tell you, ladies, even though the price might be a little steep for some of you ($42), I think this sweet little bra is worth it. It's such a “fit” that I will likely order a few more on my own dime!

Until next Tuesday — stay FWABulous!

Keep up with my FWABulous adventures on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Vine (get the ap at and search for "Amelia Pavlik").
