GHC10 is the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing for 2010. It runs from September 28th to October 2nd in Atlanta. The conference is sold out, which is a wonderful thing to hear. This video from 1986 allows you learn something about Grace Hopper — such as why she deserves to have a conference named after her — and be entertained at the same time.

The Twitter hashtag that follows live tweets from the event is #ghc10. There's a steady stream of tweets with the hashtag.

Even before the conference, there were excited tweets such as this one.

Recruiters are headed to Atlanta looking for people to hire, such as this fellow.

Are you going? Will you be tweeting or blogging? Please share your Twitter name and/or your blog name so BlogHers can keep an eye on your experiences at the event.

I'm sure we'll get some blog posts from Gail at The Female Perspective of Computer Science. She's got a plan called "Who I Want to Meet at Grace Hopper."

The conference site has a list of community bloggers who will be writing posts, either on the site blog or their own blogs. This page also carries a live stream of #ghc10 tweets. The Community Bloggers page is great to keep an eye on during the week to follow what is happening. Another spot to watch is the Facebook page for the conference.

There is a Flickr pool for the event. If you come home wearing this tee shirt, send us a photo.

Next week, I'll come back with a report on some of the panels and discussions that took place there, with links to reports by attendees.

for the #ghc10 hashtag at The #ghc10 Daily ( http://paper.li/tag/ghc10 ). After Tuesday, it should have some interesting links and tweets.
