Kat Spitzer The Happy Hypochondriac www.happyhypochondriac.com
It's The Happy Hypochondriac's first giveaway! I was recently asked to review a scarf by the company Germbana and I have to say, I'm now a fan. I'm not always a complete germphobe, but I definitely have problems with tray tables on airplanes, most doorknobs (especially in the vicinity of bathrooms or schools) and grocery carts. I read the reports. Also, the poles in any subway system can give me actual nightmares. So I tried this "fashion scarf" and it's much better than the mask and rubber gloves that I imagine using in my head. It's lightweight so it doesn't have to be cold and if I happen to put it over my nose and mouth when the person near me on the plane won't cover his mouth as he coughs in my direction, I won't look as obvious. Bonus! Send me your best anecdote of a time when you shuddered from germ overload, or simply worried about your health and let your thoughts get slightly out of control. You can tell them in a comment to "The Giveaway!" post at www.happyhypochondriac.com or email them to me at thehappyhypochondriac@gmail.com. The best response by May 31, 2011 will win their very own Germbana scarf. I look forward to reading. It makes me feel better!
