Going Green :] – Eco skin care and makeup

I have been trying so many different brands of skin care and makeup
during the years to find some that really is gentle but still gives the
skin what it need.  Lots of money have been spent on rather expensive
product but without any positive results and sometimes even making the
skin react in a negative way.

Now I had decided to go green : ]. I have always liked that idea and have tested a few greener alternatives but of course not all is suitable for my skin type. So many developments have been made and new and more pure and Eco friendly products are produced. So it is easier to find different alternatives among the brands of Eco skin care and make up.

One has to be careful and make sure that the products are 100%
organic. Many say their products are Eco and organic but when you read
further details you can see that it might just be a few of the
ingredients that are and not the total product.

When it comes to make up such as foundation, blush and eyes shadows
I have since 2005 been using mineral make up. Been testing a few labels
and again not all mineral make up are 100% minerals and some may
contain some minerals that can be skin irritating. So once again you
have to be careful and really get all details to be on the safe side.

I was introduced to id bareMinerals /bare escentuals/ make up in
2005 and that is the one that I have used the most. Though it can be a
bit irritating on the skin specially when the weather is hot, that
could be a reaction of the Bismuth Oxychloride.

Now I have found some new alternatives without Bismuth Oxychloride
and specially one that I got my eyes set on and are going to test their
foundation, concealer, blush & eye shadow : ]

Also I am going over to Eco mascara. I have found a few brands that seems to be 100% eco/organic. Nivey eco, Lavera, Logona & Dr Hauschka.

When it comes to skin care I already use a few products that are based on organic ingredients but some are not 100%.

That is why I am going to test out a few new brand of facial care to
see if I can find the right one for me. Dr Hauschka products are a bit
to strong for me when it comes to skin care. But I am interesting in
trying Dr Hauschka mascara.

Hair care is also something that is important to be without chemical
ingredients. I have tendency to allergy, eczema and also psoriasis. I
have tried many product that are supposed to be mild, mild scented, no
perfume and gently to the scalp but still I have after a while or right
away felt discomfort.

I havetried a 100% organic shampoo and conditioner and have not experienced any bad effects, so far at least ; ].

Now this is something that might take a while before all changes
have been made but I think that it will be good for my skin and body to
feel so much better with using products that contains less or
preferable none chemical ingredients.
