This will be my first time attending the BlogHer conference and I will definitely be attending the Newbie Mixer. Why don't we start introducing ourselves now before the event? That way when I meet we could have at least looked at each others blogs.
Please share your name and a little bit about your site. What are you most looking forward to at the conference?
I'll start:
Hi! I am Amanda and I am the founder and an author for The Mom Crowd. We are parenting blog written by four moms who have a passion for sharing information and encouraging other moms. I have an 11 month old daughter and a work at home husband. I am most looking forward to being encouraged and inspired to keep blogging and growing my site. I feel like the conference is going to be a spring board for me.
I am looking forward to meeting all of you!

Lunch in a Box will be there
I should be at the Newbie Mixer too -- just starting to get comfortable coming out of the closet about my blog with people in real life. I'm Biggie, and I write the food blog Lunch in a Box with speedy packing tips for bento-style lunches made with world food. I live in San Francisco, so I'll be bopping over to the conference from home and asking my husband to hang with our three-year-old.
I'm looking forward to the sessions about privacy and people's experiences with divulging private information online. At the moment I don't think I know anyone else attending, but I'm sure that's not right. I'm probably most nervous about not doing my homework about who'll be there, and missing opportunities to chat with folks I know only online.
Cheers,
Biggie

This will be my first
This will be my first conference too. I want to learn more about using blogs. So far I plan to attend the FAQ and the Mother Load sessions.
I'm a retired librarian and now have a passion for horses, cooking, needlepoint, yoga and decorating my house. I also have elderly parents living in another state and spend a lot of time with either visiting them or managing their care. My greatest joy - my children and two beautiful grandsons.

Traveling from St. Louis
I'm a newbie this year, too. I've never been to any kind of conference, blogging or otherwise. I'm traveling in from St. Louis, Missouri, which is the basis of my blog, Under the Arch. I've never been to San Francisco, so I'm looking forward to a little sight seeing as well as meeting tons of bloggers. I am attending the women without children session and the photography session. I'm an education student who has a serious love for photography and writing. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and learning how to take my blog to the next level.

*shy wave* me too!
This will be my first BlogHer - heck, my first conference in general. I usually run in fear of network-y events, so this is a huge step for me. I keep telling myself that I can't be shy, I gotta get out there! I'm looking forward to many of the conference events.
I've been blogging for several years at my own personal site (jenguin.com) and for over a year or so at San Jose Metblogs (sanjose.metblogs.com). I'm also "in charge" (for lack of a better term) of the blog for the company I work for.
Looking forward to breaking out of my shell and meeting fellow bloggers!

And for all my fellow newbies - the first twenty to meet me get a little piece of Ohio to treasure forever!
