Goodbye to Garlic Hands!
By Karen Vivers on February 27, 2014
I love the stuff, I use it every day. A big statement, but it is true. The only thing is, as much as love to eat garlic, and cook with it, I really don't love the smell it leaves on my hands. You know what I mean. It seems like a good idea at the time. There you are chopping away, merrily and carefree. You cook, you eat, and then. You think 'I can smell garlic'. You carry on talking to your friends, you give furtive looks around the table 'I can still smell it, who smells of garlic?' Then you realise, as you take a sip of your wine, your wine smells like garlic - no! It's your own hands that smell like garlic.
'Hmm, how could that be?' You wonder. You washed your hands thoroughly with lots of lovely scented soap. You even rinsed them with lemon juice. The smell has come back!!
Sound familiar? Well, I have the real solution for you. Stainless steel! Yes, it's as easy and as bizarre as that! To remove the smell of garlic from your hands rub them on a stainless steel utensil, or, as I often do, on the inside of my stainless steel sink. It works. Really!
