Gooey Butter Cake

I know its been a while I have been so busy at the restaurant I haven't had time to get on the computer and send any good recipes.  I have been busy cooking though, we did a big meal for St Patricks Day and had a busy weekend.  The weather here is messing with us, I thought we might be ready to start thinking about planting a few things in the garden and it is going to take a cold spell again.  I am ready to garden, I love fresh vegetables and herbs to cook with.

We had our first employee meeting at the bistro on Sunday, they have been bugging me to have one, it went well we will see how long everyone does all the clean up they are supposed to.  I had a salesman come in and do a presentation on customer service while I had them all there.  and we addressed the dress code thinking summer was soon to be here.

Monday I walked into a mess the walkin cooler was 61 degrees we had to get everythings sorted and had to throw somethings out.  What a day, got it fixed around 3 and was soon putting things back in it.

Today we had a big catering to a church for all the ladies that went there, it went very well. I made a gooey butter cake in a couple of flavors for them to have for dessert. I am sharing it with you.

Gooey Butter Cake

1 Cake Mix any flavor

1 stick melted butter

2 eggs

1(8oz) pkg. cream cheese, softened

1 pound powdered sugar

Mix cake mis and butter. Spread in a 13x9 pan.  Mix cream cheese, eggs, and powdered sugar.  Spread over cake mixture.  Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.  Do not overbake.  Let cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
