GOOFY......DO YOU EVER FEEL THAT WAY? Goofy Things That Make Us Feel.....GOOFY....

DO YOU EVER FEEL…..JUST A BIT GOOFY?

I am told that I have a really great speaking voice…..I am told people want to copy mine…..Although mine is hard to copy….Anyhow, I am always comfortable being around people and pretty much always at ease…..So on my way out of the store the other day a lady who worked there said “Goodbye” as I was walking out the door….I went to say “goodbye” back to her as well, but out of my mouth came this high squeaky voice….I have no idea where it came from…I felt totally goofy…..

Goofiness is likely a feeling many people get…..I have grown accustomed to it both in myself and with others….I don’t look goofy I guess, but sometimes I simply feel goofy……Like the time no one told me my lipstick was smudged as I went to make a speech or that big spot on my blouse that for some reason I had not noticed at the restaurant…..Yes, It is in times like that I feel totally goofy….

I have seen people dragging toilet paper unknowingly behind them……Their zippers down….bumping into closed doors……tripping over something….the list is simply endless on ways we can be awkward or goofy……

I guess I take goofiness in stride…knowing that even truly famous people have goofy moments….So I simply feel in good company…Some of the best actresses and actors have a goofy quality that endears them to others….Yes, even the rich and famous can be a bit goofy at times it seems…

..My goofiness goes way back….When I had those big funny looking “Cat glasses” that they used to give out for reading…Mine happened to be pink to make it even worse……Or the time I started college…my first day to class I got really dressed up in a gorgeous dress and heels…..I tripped over the step going into the classroom and landed flat on my face…..I was OK…but I sure felt goofy…

I do think other people have goofy moments just as much as I do…..Although I think a lot of people get unnerved by them….I simply take mine in stride when I have one….I usually find a way to add a touch of humor to what just happened….and as the saying goes…..It is better to have others laugh with you than about you…..It is OK to feel GOOFY….
