Granny's Blueberry Dump

BLUEBERRY DUMP

This can be made with any canned fruit but blueberry was always my favorite. My granny would make this all the time. Dump that is, and she called it Dump because you just Dump everything in the pan and viola it’s done. Granny was always good about things that were quick and easy and tasted awesome. I miss her and I miss her desserts too. Here’s the recipe.

1 stick of butter
2 cups of bisquick
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 cups of milk
2 cups of sugar
1 tbsp almond extract
2-3 cans of blueberries

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

In a sauce pan add the blueberries, sugar and almond extract and vanilla and bring to a boil. Once it is boiling reduce the heat and let it simmer. While the blueberries are simmering combine the bisquick and milk in a bowl. Now you will want to get a large baking dish and place the stick of butter in it and then place it in the oven. Let the butter melt in the baking dish and remove it from the oven.

Dump the blueberries on top of the melted butter and then dump the bisquik mixture on top of the blueberries. Bake until golden brown on top and serve with ice cream or whipped cream or even by itself is delicious. Enjoy.
