Green cleaning, dissected: Eco-bloggers dish the dirt
by greenlagirl

March is green spring cleaning month at BlogHer.

But after Beth Terry's super-informative "Green cleaning products: Say good-bye to dirt, not your family's health!" post, covering everything from reading ingredient lists of cleaning products to getting politically involved in product safety issues -- plus my own post about green cleaning on the cheap (way cheaper than buying conventional cleaning products!), I started thinking, well, haven't we pretty well covered all we need to know?

Well, it turns out I drastically underestimated how deep into green cleaning one can get -- and how many eco-bloggers really enjoy rolling up their sleeves and getting their hands dirty to tackle every last piece of eco-cleaning info.

Want a floor cleaner recipe -- with photographic proof that the stuff works? LindaEve has it for you at the Eco Etsy Street Team blog. Curious what all the different warning words on conventional cleaning products actually mean? Kimberly Delaney at Lime has the details on why "Caution" is less dangerous than “Danger” but more dangerous than "Warning" -- though seeing any of those on a product seems good reason to just switch to greener products

LindaEve and Kimberly aren't alone in being really into the nitty gritties of green cleaning. In fact, the blogosphere's got a The Green Moms Carnival

-- dedicated entirely to Green Spring Cleaning for March. Hosted by Tiny Choices, the carnival includes everything from a review of the book Green Housekeeping, tips for cleaning your car eco-style, and a whole lot of green cleaning product recommendations.

If all those posts aren't enough for you, you can even buy a book dedicated entirely to green cleaning. That's right -- The 2nd edition of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Green Cleaning is now on bookstore shelves. Raz at Eco-Libris recommends the book.

Green cleaned enough already? I hope not, because March is still only about half over. So I'm hoping you've still got some burning questions about green cleaning. Do you? Email them to me at greenlagirl@gmail.com, and I'll get answers for you before the month is out!
