Grief and Loss: The One-Year Anniversary
By Three Little Birds on May 11, 2011
Today, it has been a year since this gifted Aussie blogger lost her husband to a rare cancer. Last week, Vee wrote a poignant post about the dreaded one-year anniversary which included an incredible letter from some very insightful nuns. We're holding her in spirit today by sharing her thoughts here.
"I was remembering what was happening a year ago today. How life was such a struggle, not knowing that Max only had a week to live. How much pain he was in, the suffering. Missing Max terribly. I was stopped at traffic lights and wiped away my tears and turned to see if anyone was watching, I couldn't believe what I saw. The car beside me was hearse, a fucking hearse with a coffin it!"
