Hi all, I am mother to 6 18,17,13,4,4,2. I also homeschool. My three under 5, well the baby, the 2 year old, is the perfect baby, thus far lol. My 4 year old twins, Oh lordy. They have adhd, really bad. They have always been hard to handle, I feel I have had no peace since birth, They had colic bad for the first 6 months, I tried everything, nothing worked, except the vacuum cleaner, We burned up 2 vacuums just trying to get a break from the crying, looking back it seems so funny now!!! By 1 they were getting out of the cribs no matter what we did, and getting into everything and trying to get out the doors. So we stripped thier room of everything we could think of that was dangerous, And literally sawed the door in half and made a half door. That worked for keeping them in, But then gave them great ideas to do the room, They completely dismantled the crib mattresses one night, I mean binding off sides, plastic stripped off, cotton torn out and springs laying on floor. We super glued the plug protectors into the walls, So one day at nap time, It was way too quiet after just one hour, I went in, and they had broken a toy, and took the piece and cut the wall out around the receptacle. They were horrible biters, I finally broke down one day, cause of the bruising on the backs from the bites, and a few looked like maybe they might get infected, drove to the doctors and he gasped so I knew it was bad. Unfortunatley he had no ideas, He said just keep the wounds clean and hopefully they will grow out of it, I was shocked, But they did, finally last year. I had to alter all their pjs so that they could not get to the zippers and unzip eachother, Because they would play in their poop and smear it everywhere. That finally ended. Potty training was unbelieveable, They are mostly potty trained, They have still about 6 accidents a week between them, We can't go anywhere for long, Because they have a fear of the bathrooms, Stupid walmart toilets that I never thought of worrying about, That automatic flush, they freaked out and won't go near public toilets. Somedays I think I might go insane, but I make it through. The only thing I have never faultered on is their schedule, I have every minute of everyday planned out. And they are getting better. I still do not take my eyes off them for too long at one time. We had one of them already had stiches in his chin, cause he was standing on the chair helping me with the dishes, and the other one knocked him off and he smacked his chin on the counter. I am sorry if I offend any with my sense of humor, But I have to have it, somedays it is all that gets me through, I sometimes wonder or think, God must have thought I was bored with my boring 3 older ones, and decided to spice up my life with the twins, hahahaha. Then with the baby, he knew I was tired and gave me the easiest one yet lol. Oh well can't return now, I lost the reciept!!!!!
just joined and saying hi
