Twitter Overload?

Over the last two months, I’ve spent more time on Twitter than ever before. I think of it more and more like microblogging.  But I’ve noticed that if I’m not careful, I can allow myself to get sucked in to all the noise and before I realize it, an hour is gone from my life.

For this reason, I’ve had to disable my Twhirl, which is handy downloadable software that lets you streamline Twitter into a side column on your desktop.  That way you can keep working while keeping an eye on the conversation.

DISTRACTING.

While I love the chatter, and have found unbelievable emotional support from other mommy bloggers, it can really eat into precious writing and work time.  Not to mention time that I need to be spending managing my household.

If you use Twitter, for work or play, how do you find the balance?
