What's in your electronic travel kit?

Remember when getting ready for a business trip meant packing a suitcase, throwing a few files into a briefcase and making sure you had a big fat book to read on the plane?

Now, the first thing I do when I start getting ready for a trip is organize my electronics. Here's what's in my electronic travel kit when I travel for business:

  • Cell phone and travel charger (also charges iPod)
  • iPod and headphones
  • Spare headphones
  • Netbook and AC charger, travel mouse and a USB drive
  • MiFi network card and charger
  • My *New* Kindle that I got for Christmas

Depending on what I will be doing on the trip, I may also bring a digital tape recorder, a Flip video camera or a small webcam. I don't think I will need any of these items at CES this week, as both sessions will be recorded by the respective organizations, and I don't have anything else firmly scheduled. I used to have an electronic organizer but have reverted to paper because it's easier to manage multiple family schedules in a Moleskine agenda.

My cellphone, a Blackberry Storm, can take pictures if necessary so I usually do not bother with my camera on a business trip. On vacation, though, added to all the above is my camera bag, with DSLR camera body, up to three lenses, external flash, spare battery and memory cards, monopod, gorillapod and a portable hard drive to download photos to as back-up.

What do you take with you when you travel?
