When your kid wants to be on TV

I have a daughter who has stars in her eyes.  I can say absolutely NOTHING because I tormented my parents with the same dream.  Except that I limited myself to just wanting to be Miss America. But that pesky talent competition was my biggest obstacle.

My daughter just wants to be on TV. We found a way to make her dreams come true. We have Tivo and love it.  But we just discovered that we could download something called Tivo Desktop from Tivo.com.  It allows you to WIRELESSLY show your home movies, photos, and podcasts on your television screen from your computer.  And it's FREE. (Not Tivo, but the showing of stuff from your computer.)  It will also play your music from iTunes on your TV.

Now, my daughter cannot get enough of watching herself in high definition on a wide screen TV. She's happy, and I don't have to worry about becoming a stage mother.  Yet...

And this SO BEATS having to hang a sheet up across the living room to show our old Super 8's from my youth.  While laying sideways to see better.
