There was a time when a crush would make me do ridiculous things, like sneak out of my parents house to go to a party to meet some boy. (Alright, it happened once.) Ah those were the good old days. Times when I made the time, and risked being grounded for love (or perhaps pupppy love).
Ironically, with a spouse and the need for connection stronger than ever, I find that romance gets put on the back burner for things like, you know, sleep. What happened to me? Where's the girl who used to insist on date night?
I'm glad I got to meet up with Samantha Ettus, whose Web show, Obsessed is my latest obsession. She gets to the nitty gritty, and in her new book, The Experts' Guide to Doing Things Faster: 100 Ways to Make Life More Efficient, she has famous people give up the goods. She pulled from their words of wisdom to offer up what so many of us--attached or not--are missing in their lives: the L word.
Also, Sara from On Simplicity offers up some easy ways to say I love you--cause you know, it's not just about GETTING love. And we even get some advice from one of Samantha's contributors, Rue McClanahan, star of one of my favorite 1980s TV Confections, Golden Girls.
So what do you think? Give us your thoughts on Samantha's tips, or some of your own that we can showcase here on TheJuice.
Next week: Bring your hunched, retracted bodies on over to TheJuice and learn how to streeeeeeeeeeetch with an expert.
