This week’s episode of The Juice is all about giving more to get more out of relationships. Christine Koh of Boston Mamas, joins us to share her wisdom on the topic and her advice makes a lot of sense.
One of her tips is around making sure you keep good memories and spending the time to create a special gift for someone. A great way to do both would be to create a photo collage or a scrapbook!

Digital Camera from the Juice Sweepstakes
I give my time to others my listening to what they say. I get more from listening because I not only learn from them but I understand people better.
Giving More to Get More
I try to understand why people do the things they do. That way I don't get as angry.
I have learned so much about
I have learned so much about couponing and saving money by reading others' blogs that I am able to give so much to the food pantry. It costs me very little but I know it is a huge help to others. My kids are learning that it doesn't take much to make a difference in others' lives and also how to save money. How can I even put in words what I get in return. Knowing that I can help a hungry family is more than enough.
Donate it!
I donate our gently used clothing to charity. It makes me feel good to help others and it helps de-clutter our house at the same time. It's less time-consuming than having a garage sale and it's also tax deductible. It's a win-win-win-win!
Giving More to Get More
At those times I feel sorry for myself, I get a grip and realize how fortunate I am. I volunteer with an animal rescue group. It is so true that I get more when I give more because the satisfaction I get from helping defenseless animals is immeasurable, and helping them inspires me in all areas of life.
Matching Funds for Charity
My job keeps me in the office full time so I cannot physically volunteer with community groups as much as I would like to. There's nothing that comes close to the social interaction and the privlege with working with amazing, insprirational people. As a result, I support our community charities through donations. And I always try to find ways to stretch my contribution by making sure my company matches it.

we do alot
by couponing we can donate items to shelters and food banks, but I think the thing that has taught all of alot about life is going to the shelter, volunteering our time, not just one day a year but all the time, helping with repairs, food service and just being there to listen and play games- gets you back in reality and see whats important in life
I try to give my kids school
I try to give my kids school as much of my time for programs that they run, so my kids can get more back in the school being able to run programs. Thanks so much.
I give more by running races
I give more by running races with my family for a local charity called The Joy Foundation. We get more by being a team and getting healthy while helping out the local community.
I have been a volunteer at
I have been a volunteer at my son's school for many years. I have been a Grade Mother and helped with parties. I have served on the PTA board in the many positions. Most recently, I volunteer in the College Room, where we try to help high schoolers with their College related questions. I was a Cub Scout Den Leader and now I am the Advancement Chairman for my son's Boy Scout Troop. I am so thankful that I have been able to give of my time and what I received back was so much more! It is such a privlege to get to work with young people and feel like you have made a difference in their lives.
Daily giving more
My family is my main priority. I'm a stay at home mom/homeschooler. I give my time, though sometimes it's really challenging to do, but I do so in order to get the assurance that my children are getting the attention that they need.
Don't think about giving.
Don't think about giving. Just do it. It'll pay for itself later
Listener
I have always been a listener. I found I get alot of valuable information just by sitting back and listening to other people. People love to talk and love to be listened to. Listening=valuable informaton
I take care of my family. I
I take care of my family. I know that may sound weak but I give and nurture them so they will in turn give to others. I take care of the little things and love to do it.
My neighbors
Where I live I have a bunch of ederly neighbors so how I give is by helping them. Baked goods, meals, errands and teaching my kids to do the same for them.
Go out of your way
to be nice to others and help that one extra step - in the classroom, in the community, with your family. Your children will learn by example and people will start doing the same for you and your family.

Give a little, Get a lot
We donate monthly to our local food pantry. Sometimes we can only give a few items, other times we can take a few bags in there. It feels good to help, and it's comforting to know if we're ever down on our luick, there are great people willing to help.
You get what you give
It sounds simple but I try every day to treat the people I interact with the way I would want somebody to treat my mom or my grandparents. I teach my children to do the same. Purposefully treating people with kindness and respect even though it's not always easy IS rewarding. You will always feel better about yourself at the end of the day.

I started a secret santa
I started a secret santa program for low income kids in my town when I see the faces when Santa shows up to delive gifts it is worth so much more then I have given
Being a good listener
People always come to me when they have problems. I always listen carefully and help when I can. Sometimes just letting them get it off their chest and have a sympathetic ear is all they need.
Donate time and money
I volunteer my time and energies and also donate money regularly to my church. When you are in the service of your fellow men, you are in the service of God.
I put others first. You get
I put others first. You get back when you are giving.
When times are tough, it is
When times are tough, it is difficult to want to do for others. By helping at the local animial shelter, and donating clothing and household goods to the women's shelter (to help them get out on their own) this broadens my horizons and makes me appreciate what I have.
A true friend :D
I give people the respect of supporting whatever they want to do as a person...I think everyone can decide on what they want out of life, it's not my business to judge them or their actions. I give this unconditional friendship to people and what I get back is the feeling of knowing I've put it out there and I really can't give anymore of my heart...
grand kids
I give my time to my grand kids and try to help them with their problems.

I think that the more you
I think that the more you give, the more you get. So if I am nice to people, they are nice to me. I try to help people by showing them how I save money, and they usually help me in some way that I need help. What goes around, comes around!

WHEN SOMEONE ASKS, I HELP
On the internet, there are always people looking for help, information, etc. If someone posts asking for help with someone or looking for information, I'll search out the information that they need for their situation.
When you focus more of your energy
outwards...
I truly believe it makes you a happier person and you gain more then you give.
giving
I give to charity, I donate time and money and goods to those who need it. One of my favorite quotes is from Danny Thomas, the fabulous man who started the St. Jude Childrens Hospital "takers may eat better, but givers sleep better" which means giving gives us peace of mind and makes us feel good, so we can go to bed each night knowing we have done all that we can. May not be rich in money, but we are rich in heart :)
