I don't have time to knit right now. I'm trying (always trying, trying, trying) to squeeze in more time but it needs to compete with the internet, cooking, baking, and reading. Not to mention holiday prep and events. So I took some time today, between other tasks, to indulge in fantasy knitting.
What is fantasy knitting you ask? Quite simply I go through Ravelry and blogs and find things that I would like to knit. I don't have to worry about not having the right yarn, or my skill-level or the time to knit it. I can just point to things and think, "Yes, I like that."
And I can't forget spinning. Posts lke this one at Saffron Knits make me think I can spin and since it's my fantasy of course I can. (Even if I did spend a great part of my childhood thinking that spinning wheels were evil thanks to Sleeping Beauty.) Doesn't that pink look delightfully squishy? And what is it about pink yarn? I don't really wear pink (and am not excessively fond of it) but pink fibre always looks the squishiest.
What's in your fantasy knitting pile?
