Share your tips for keeping elders safe from scammers

A couple of days ago I posted to this group with a discussion about schemes and abuses often directed against seniors and elders.

I shared some of my ideas about the things that elders might fall prey to, but I am sure you have more thoughts on this topic.

Would you share any advice or tips you might have? What scams you know of that might be tempting to elders? Do you have some tips on how to teach your parents or grandparents what the dangers are? Or about what to do if an elder in your life is tricked into turning over their money or their account information?
