About Blogroll Exchange

A blogroll is an effective marketing tool used to boost your website's traffic by hosting links to other websites who also do the same for you. A blogroll is a list of links within a blogger's website (usually in a side bar) that refers readers to other blogs the author likes. Besides the benefit of increasing traffic between websites, hosting a blogroll is a nice way to build meaningful connections with others in your blogging niche and to keep your readers entertained and coming back for more of your blog and more fun recommendations to other great sites you like. Check out any big name blogger's website - they have a blogroll. Why? Because it works.
The rules for this group are simple. Anyone from any blogging niche can join and connect with as few or as many other bloggers as they'd like.
1) Post a link and a short description of your website as a new discussion thread.
2) Describe what type of other bloggers you'd like to exchange links with in the body of your discussion.
3) When you find someone you're interested in exchanging blog links with, reply to them and see if they will return the favor. If both parties agree, post a link to one another's sites in your blogrolls.
4) If you no longer wish to host a certain blogger on your blog roll, just let them know you're taking down their link so they can do the same. No hard feelings.

Here's an example of what a discussion thread should look like:
"My name is Reanna Pettigrew (aka bumpkinandme). I'm a freelance writer. I'm from Seattle, but I'm currently living in the UK. I'm expecting my first 'bumpkin' in May 2011 - and that's why I started my website: http://www.bumpkinandme.com
I blog about UK life. And pregnancy. And traveling. And my bulldog, Jack. And I put up British recipes along with eco-friendly tips and advice for housecleaning, recycling, composting and gardening with children I think the whole world should know about.
I'm looking to connect with other mommy bloggers, pregnancy bloggers, traveling bloggers, cooking bloggers - basically any kind of blogger. If you like my site and wouldn't mind me hosting a link to your site, contact me through my website or through blogher.com or twitter or facebook or any other way you can track me down. Looking forward to connecting with some awesome bloggers out there!"

If you need any help at all navigating the group or just want more information, just send me (Reanna Pettigrew) a message. I'll be glad to help in any way I can.
Welcome to Blogroll Exchange! Happy networking, everyone!
