Police Wives
About Police Wives
For those of us married to Police Officers, the real and online world can be very isolating. We must protect them and ourselves while still having an outlet for our thoughts and fears.
When I met my husband he was starting his training to be a Correctional Officer. The next 6 years he spent working at a Maximum security prison where we endured riots, lockdowns, assaults, and deaths. Then, he was hired by the Police service in another city and province. Within the first month on the job he had been quarantined for anthrax. This is our life! We are going on 8 years on the job now and sometimes it can feel like forever.
I'm hoping this will provide a good place for support.
Please use common sense when posting. If you are going to relay a specific incident don't mention the names of those involved (unless you'd like to make some up....Cookie Monster totally tweeked and Elmo had to taser his ass....for example)...and always bear in mind we don't verify the job status of the spouses or law enforcement members posting here.
