Whether it's the lastest news from Wisteria Lane and "Desperate Housewives," the hot competition on "American Idol" or the strange happenings on that spooky island on "Lost," BlogHer's TV Group members will be encouraged to sound off. After all viewers can be as serious about their TV watching as almost anything else in their lives.

The last few years have brought a new golden era of quality television. Shows like, "24," "Lost," "House," "Grey's Anatomy," and "CSI" have been showcases for first class writing, acting and directing. During this time, the age of original programming for cable has come into its own as well. Programs like "Damages," "Mad Men," "The Tudors," and "The Closer" have brought high quality talent from the movie screen to the small screen and allowed for a broader range of story telling than usually allowed on broadcast TV.
