YahooBlogHer.com offers a wide range of tools to help you grow your community. Here's what you can do:
- Fill out your profile, completely. (Click My BlogHer -> Click Edit Profile.)
- Start blogging on BlogHer.com. (Click Create a Post and select Topics that apply to the post you're writing. Use free tags, too.) You can write full posts, (include a signature block that leads to your blogs), or you can write teasers and link to the full post.
- Use Chatter to send 140 character messages to the community. Set up your Chatter so that it automatically sends your posts to your Twitter account.
- List your blog in the HerNetwork directory of blogs.
- Join BlogHer groups, create discussions, leave comments. Or create a group of your own. Here's a post that gives you group building tips.
- Read blog posts written by other members of the community, link to those posts on your blog, and leave comments. The more visible you are, the more likely others will be to visit you.
