I got the opportunity this morning to take a tour of the brand new salon. It's bright and airy, tons of mirrors and space! Lots of space. You feel like you're in a luxe loft, and you don't want to leave. In the salon is a black and white striped conversation seat (a round couch) that just begs you to sit and stay awhile.

Janine jarminJanine Jarmin, is the brilliant and innovative hairstylist who created Hairroin. She’s styled Christina ApplegateFergieThe Pussycat DollsScarlett Johansson and Carmen Elektra’s tresses. Jarmin appeared on season three of Shear Genius. If there’s a trend coming, Jarmin’s surfing the wave, way ahead of everyone else. Jarmin is thehe West Coast spokesperson for Sebastian Professional and is a member of the national Sebastian Design team. She’s funny, kind and is a fount of information.

Her LA salon is a hot spot of creativity, activity and fun. And the New York City one will be too!

If you’ve been dreaming of getting lavender highlights, hair extensions, chemical relaxer, braids,a haircut that shows off the real you or your partner, step on in to Hairroin. I think they’re one of the very few salons in the city that also offer barbering services in addition to cuts, color, updos and blowouts.

as I mentioned earlier, the salon has that relaxed, unstuffy feel you crave. And the stylists! They’ve worked on editorial photo shoots, runway shows, movies and TV shows, commercials, music videos and a bunch more.
