“Tis the season,” is it not? It is once again that time of year when you are “supposed to” feel a “certain something.” We want you to know if you do not feel that “certain something” it is okay. We say, “Happy HolyDays to you," for all days are indeed Holy.
If you feel you have not much to celebrate or do not feel you can celebrate in the way others seem to, take this time to celebrate all Days. Take this time to remember-all moments are Holy, all encounters are Holy, all moments of giving and receiving are Holy. You needn’t wait for this time of year.
We believe this may be some of the sadness felt during this time. One feels pressured to feel even happier and holier than the previous months. How can that be if you live and love to the fullest daily? What if you feel there is no higher level to reach?
Know that your disappointment and emptiness does not stem from not having enough or “what it takes,” but instead from living it daily and having no idea how to now celebrate it separately. Learn to see the "holiday blues" as not understanding how this time is or should be any different than all others.
Happy HolyDays are not an occasion, not a season and not something that comes once per year. So do not search; search for this new found feeling, because the weather is now cold, and the rain and snow begin to fall. Be grateful that you cannot muster the feelings and excitement you see portrayed in your advertisements. It is because you live in your Joy daily, that you cannot imagine feeling more joyous. You need no turkey, tree, glitter or red sweaters to know Joy.
Do not be fooled into believing if you one, do not have the things that are associated with this season, or two do not want any part of the “glitz,” that you are not “in the Spirit.” Instead remember how very little it takes, and how very little you need to BE the Spirit each and every day.
