Happy Home By: Jennifer Paganelli

BlogHer Original Post

I adore Jennifer Paganelli’s distinct style. The books she writes, the fabric she designs and the projects she sews are always so colorful and whimsical. When a copy of her new book Happy Home: Twenty One Sewing and Craft Projects to Pretty Up Your Home arrived at my door I was excited to say the least.

Happy Home has projects ranging from throw pillows to party poufs. There are 4 sections in the book. Decorate is all home décor projects from drapery to pillows. Accessorize has instructions for making things like dog beds and tote bags. Party (my favorite section) shows you how to whip up garlands for a birthday or stockings for Christmas. Dream is the last section in the book covering items like bed skirts and duvets.

As with every book Chronicle publishes the photos are dreamy, the projects are enticing and most importantly the step-by-step instructions look easy to follow. The book also has a handy dandy pocket attached that holds all the patterns for the projects. The skill level seems to range from basic to more advanced so there is something for everyone. I for one can’t wait to try my hand at the vintage party banner. Then again I am a sucker for anything with ball fringe.
