Has Social Media Involvement Changed Your Blog Posting/reading?

When I began blogging, my sole means of expression was, well, posting on my blog.  I felt a sense of community when I was involved in dialoging with my own readers, and other blogger's as well.

Then I became aware in an increase in group blogging.  Online forums were cropping up, and much community was enjoyed.

Later I added Facebook and Twitter to my growing list of reading musts and the community continued to expand.

I now have a feed reader, am involved in Stumbling (limited, still learning), online Forums, Twittering, Facebook updating, and e-mail subscriptions.

And I have found that often times, my blog gets pushed to the bottom of my growing to-do list.  And I seldom have a chance to visit all the blogs that drew me into the community in the first place.

I have days when all the chatter is a bit overwhelming, and I long to tune it out, and just post my thoughts. (And psst, I do know that I have a choice and with a click of a button, can tune out all the other social media.)

Do you find that you spend more or less time on your personal blog since the explosion of social media?
