Have You Created Something That Is a Great Gift - and Do You Sell It?
By Laurie PK on May 19, 2011
If you created something that would make a great gift, here’s your chance to promote it for free on my gift giving blog, Quips and Tips for Giving Gifts!
How will you promote, describe, advertise your product? By writing an article about it for my gift giving blog.
The idea behind Quips and Tips for Giving Gifts is to help readers buy the right gifts for the right people – gifts that will be appreciated and valued! After all, what feels better than knowing you gave the best gift ever?
Here’s how it works -- check out this sample article by Sydney Thomas, who wrote a book that is a fantastic gift for people who knit:
Sydney starts the article by describing her book, and ends with another “plug.” In between are other knitting products, to help readers choose the best gift.
You're the expert on the product you created, right? Here's your chance to show your expertise, get online exposure, and link from my site to your blog, website, Facebook, Twitter, etc. "Quips and Tips" articles are helpful and full of tips -- not "advertorials" for one specific product.
Would you like to write a similar article that begins and ends with your gift? Here’s how it works…
Promoting Your Creation on Quips and Tips for Giving Gifts
"Best X Gifts to Give People Who Love X" is the general format of the articles – such as Guitar Gifts for Musicians Who Love to Strum.
The idea is to describe specific types of gifts (eg, hats, necklaces, books, whatever you created) for specific types of people (eg, techno geeks, elderly parents, rich uncles).
Articles must be at least 500 words long and well-written (eg, complete sentences, grammatically correct, proper capitalization, etc). You don't need to link to actual products -- I'll take care of that. You're free to link to other blogs or websites that offer more information.
Format of “Gifts” articles:
- Intro sentence
- Quip/quotation related to the gift or the occasion for the gift
- Descriptions of at least 4 other related gifts (4-5 sentences each)
- Your bio and links
Basically, Sydney’s Knitters Gift Ideas article is exactly what I’m looking for.
I’d love to feature fun, creative, controversial, surprising, interesting gifts -- the more edgy and quirky, the better!
