Have You Ever Considered Deleting Your Blog?

BlogHer Original Post

Have you ever held the cursor over the delete button on your blog's dashboard, hovering between blogging existence and blogging oblivion? I think all bloggers have days where we're beaten down by negative comments or frustrated that people aren't understanding what we're trying to say in a post, but have you ever considered deleting a beloved space altogether and walking away from blogging?  The Conscious Perspective has a post about a time when she considered shutting down her blog.

Once upon a time I wanted to shut down this blog. I wanted to walk away from it and my dream of being a published author and never look back. I felt like my words were wasted because I wasn't getting the traffic I'd hoped for, or more importantly, I wasn't getting the connection with readers that I'd always envisioned.

The funny thing is, my blog was actually doing great compared to other blogs that were the same age. My readers were connecting with me. But... the "not enoughs" set in.

Please read The Conscious Perspective's whole post and discover what stopped her from hitting delete.  And then tell us about a time you considered throwing in the towel on your online space and why you didn't.
