I grew up in beautiful Colorado, went to school in Utah, and then ran away to New York City to pursue a PhD in English. Instead I found myself lurking in chocolate shops, wandering the aisles at Zabar's, and falling in love with a young artist. So I squashed my research into a Masters thesis, married the artist, moved to Brooklyn, and spent the next few years trying to figure out what else to do.

Years later I'm still in Brooklyn and the artist and I have a fantastic four-year-old son. Now I'm a food writer and also do work for the fabulous new company, WELLalarm.
