I am a woman of a certain age who was once a magazine journalist, then a grad student in English Lit, as well as a teaching fellow. I was ABD and working on my diss when I had a ruptured cerebral aneurysm. My first thought on the gurney in the ER was "whew! don't have to finish the diss now..." So I didn't and after a year or so getting my act back together, I started on yet another Master's degree, this time in psychology, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am now appying for an internship with a social service agency.
I used to live in LA with my husband, D., who is an artist, but we sold our million dollar shack and moved to Sacramento. I started my blog over a year ago, I write about my life, aging, writing, politics, cultural stuff and anything else I think worthy of sharing with the world. I call my blog ByJane because, hey, that's my byline.
And doesn't time pass when you're having fun! Since I wrote this profile, my life has done a one eighty (or at least a wheelie). D and I are no longer together, and I've got a new venture: MidLifeBloggers.com
