I grew up in Rhode Island where I met my husband Jeff, who played Hamlet to my Ophelia. Seriously. After getting married, we went to graduate school together in Providence. Then, on to yet more graduate school in North Carolina. We have since moved to California for Jeff’s residency and have now lived away from home for over nine years. Through all this, it has been our families who have helped and supported us; and it has been food and cooking that, no matter how far away we live, has always made us feel like we were home.
