First and foremost, I'm a mom. Before that, I held a variety of tech jobs, from programmer to support-side and eventually ended up teaching CIS at the University level. Then I gave it all up (with the exception of the occasional short-term consulting gig) to be a stay-at-home mom to my gorgeous daughter. Fortunately, I live in the 21st century - and 'staying at home' just describes where I do the majority of my work, not that I've locked myself in a prison in the suburbs. The Internet has broadened all of our horizons and Social Media has made all the difference in the world to me and to like-minded moms. I'm a geek. I'm a mom. I'm a 21st century woman. I know my daughter will be the same some day.
