I'm married, one grown son. Native New Yorker, born in Brooklyn, raised on Long Island.

Gastric bypass helped me lose 100 pounds after being overweight for 40 years (still maintaining 4 years later, thanks). I'm a book addict and I know how to embroider.

I'm Italian, Irish, English and German.  I cook, bake and make my own meatballs and sauce.  My husband loves my chicken soup and you haven't lived until you taste my potato salad. I've been trying to write a trashy romance novel for the last 15 years.

I worked for New York State for 20 years in education, health care and finance as a secretary and as a nurse's aide. In my last job I was lovingly called 'The Hellmaiden of Suffolk" on account of my personality. When I left, they 'retired my jersey'. Oh, and I was a 'Burger Bunny' for Burger King for about 8 months when my son started school. I have a degree in Health Care Management.
