You know how they say life is not a rehearsal? Not quite true. My 'previous' life was a rehearsal for the life I live now as a 14-year survivor of ovarian cancer (diagnosed in my early 30s).
All the fun, unexpected, 'dream big'-type opportunities have come my way since then, including stints as a radio & TV producer & talk show host.
Today I have a dream job writing about Women's Issues for About.com, a New York Times Company-owned website.
You might call me a JapJap (I'm Japanese American and grew up as a Jewish American Princess - no joke) but today I am a poorly practicing Buddhist who should meditate more and stress less.
My greatest accomplishment? My two teenage daughters (who are feminists but don't quite know it yet.)
