After 26 years in the public schools, enough was enough! So, I walked out the door in a huff, and am now a professor of expository writing at a community college - the very best community college, I might add, in the world.

I am also a professional blogger and a social media liason./evangelist.

I have two grown children and, since they moved out, a guest room and a computer room! I'm still waiting on the empty closets, though.

My three cats are good company, and my husband puts up with me.

I live out in the country, and the peace and quiet are really getting to me: I want some NOISE!!!

My hobbies are writing, reading, listening to music and pretending I'm the singer, baking, and cooking. Words are my weapon of choice, I do not suffer fools gladly, and I can not walk by a person in need.

I loathe political correctness and euphemisms, and I believe that everyone should pull his/her own weight.

Believe it or not, I am almost dysfunctionally shy and can only rant on paper or on the internet. If you see me standing behind the curtains peeking wistfully out at all the activity, please come over and start a conversation, for I can't do it and I NEED THAT! Thanks in advance.

I greatly fear rejection.
