About
The quick rundown of facts is that I'm a stay at home mother of 3 children, one with special needs. My oldest son, Alex was diagnosed at 9 months of age with cerebral palsy. His CP has global affects of developmental, cognitive and speech delays, sensory integration dysfunction, epilepsy, spastic muscle tone on the right side, possible autistic features and possible ADHD. After getting a hold on what Alex's needs would be (ha-ha...you never get a hold on that, they're always changing), we were lucky enough to have a healthy little girl (Violet), and then a healthy little boy (Ben). My husband is in the civil service field, as was I prior to Alex's diagnosis. Many times, I think I have gone crazy, and then I remember that I'm a mother in general, as well as a mother of a special needs child which puts it all in perspective. I used to have a ton of interests and am now back to rediscovering "me". My BlogHer Conferences
