Unwilling to fully abandon my Chicago-area upbringing, I live in Manhattan with my husband and a 13 lb. rabbit, Tycho Bunnae, but insist on calling soda "pop," and sneakers "gym shoes." My first book is Off the (Beaten) Subway Track, a travelogue about/guide to unusual places and things to do in NYC. My articles have appeared in New York Nonprofit Press, The Panelist, Metro New York, City Limits Magazine, Young Children, and New York Family.
I also blog about life at Campaign for Unshaved Snatch (CUSS) & Other Rants, about yogurt and pudding at Live Active Cultures, about politics at The Political Voices of Women, and about creating positive social change as a contributing editor at Just Cause. Whew! When not writing, I put my master's in public administration/public policy to good use by working with non-profit organizations in New York City.
