I'm a writer, wife of an OG (that's Original Geek in the tech world) and mother of three children. One is a teenager, and two  have high-functioning autism. I advocate for autism awareness and education, as well as acceptance. I view autism as a growth process and the opportunity to connect parents for support as a privilege.

I am passionate about social media and building community with women bloggers (yeah, ok and some men, too) I love meeting new people, and wish I could have met everyone at Blogher '08. Hopefully, next year,I'll have another chance to meet you, since I have plans to sell a kidney in order to get there.

I blog at Send Chocolate and at Autism Sucks, a community blog I started for parents in the trenches of autism. I don't take myself too seriously, it's only life.

My favorite drink is a black & tan, made with Guinness. Barring that, something foofy like a Cosmo will also work.
