Jaha Knight is a new media designer and a self-proclaimed "brandstorming professional".  After 10 years in graphics and marketing she decided to branch out and created her first show, "One Word" on poet SPEAK radio in 2005.  Expanding on that concept, she pitched and promoted the show to WPAL and was instantly put on the air to bring poetry and new/emerging artists to a diverse and fascinating audience. 

At the age of 22, Jaha founded and published an african american newspaper, (New Urban News).  "I found that there was a great disparity between the news we were being given and and the opportunity for celebration of african american accomplishments and achievement in SC."  said Ms. Knight , " I felt that we were hiding our greatness, so I created a newspaper that celebrated it.  It was an awesome journey and I learned a lot from the experience."
