I'm an international consultant, presenter and author regarding nonprofit / NGO management, particularly volunteers / community involvement and communications. I'm best known for my research and promotion of online volunteering (virtual volunteering). I've been advocating for and educating nonprofits to use computer and networking technology since 1994. I've worked in the USA, Germany and Egypt, in addition to presentations in various countries, and for six months in 2007, I worked in Afghanistan as a communications advisor through the UN for an Afghan federal ministry. I'm also a world traveler, and advocate for women to travel, whether its just a 100 miles away or around the world, and a volunteer myself for various causes. I'm a native of Kentucky, and live in Germany with my husband and my dog.
