About

I got married in March of 2007. I'm not going to be modest; my husband is fantastic. He's funny, ambitious, and generous. But of course marriages--even brand-new, honeymoon-phase marriages--have their fair share of difficulties. The main challenge we face and will continue to fight is the third party in our relationship: My bipolar disorder. I was diagnosed in the late summer of 2004, three months after my college graduation, nine months after a major nervous breakdown, and nearly ten years after my first struggles with depression. I write about the course of this illness from my earliest episodes to my current state, all in the hopes that someone reading this will see a bit of herself reflected in me and find an ally in the wars they are currently fighting or have put to rest.
