Heart Health Month and the Red Dress Fashion Show

Valentines Day is just around the corner and stores, blogs and magazines are saturated with shades of red and cutesy symbols such as hearts. We are all ready for the most "romantic" day of the year that falls in February but the 2nd month of the year is also very important because it is Heart Month . Heart Month is a time to raise awareness for Heart Health and prevention of heart disease which is the leading cause of death in women. The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection Fashion Show is a wonderful event that takes place annually in New York during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and honors those affected by heart disease with a celebrity and designer infused runway extravaganza! Working for the American College of Cardiology , I am lucky to be a part of an organization that champions for awareness and action to educate women about heart health. The launch of our new patient focused website is just a few days away and we are beyond excited for it but till then get all your heart health information via CardioSmart. The gowns pictured above have been on display in our lobby for a few months and I wanted to share with all of you
the power of The Red Dress.
I hope that everyone reading will join me on Feb. 1 for Wear Red Day. Please spread the word and take pictures of yourselves in your red attire and send to me via email or tag me on Instagram/ Twitter/ or Facebook and I will add you to the Fashionistas Fighting Heart Disease collage that will be posted on the blog. Please also leave a comment and let me know how you stay heart healthy! Let us spread the word and fight Heart Disease through fashion and fitness together!
See Below for my outfit inspirations to wear to the fashion show...
I'm pretty excited to be attending and covering for my job as well as the blog
