I am at the end of my rope. My husband seems so unhappy--with me (that is long-standing), with the kids, with his job. He is always unpleasant, lecturing, complaining. I can't stand to be around him, which further increases his unhappiness with me. He won't go to talk to someone, and marital counseling ended when he announced that it was useless because I was never going to give him what he wants. Money is tight, and that is bothering him, but we aren't going to become homeless or go hungry.

I feel like life would be easier as a single mother of three than it is living with a ranting grouch.
