The Love/Avon
Army of Women is driven by two key partnerships that will accelerate the
research necessary to discover ways to prevent breast cancer: a partnership
between the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation and the Avon Foundation, and a
partnership between scientists and women.
Heading the Love/Avon Army of
Women is Dr. Susan Love, a distinguished breast surgeon, a trusted breast cancer
authority, a best-selling author on breast cancer and women’s health, and the
President of the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation. The mission of the
Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit breast cancer organization, is to eradicate
breast cancer and improve the quality of women’s health through innovative
research, education, and advocacy. The Foundation works to identify the barriers
to research and to then create new solutions.

Breast cancer has been around for decades, but it does not have to
