USHealth Group: Helping the Health System Work Better for Everyone

If you've been having problems about American healthcare, you're not the only one. The health care system is undergoing numerous systemic changes, and consumers like us will occasionally be confused about their various options and possibilities. Previous medical plans may no longer apply, and customers are now asked to sort through a number of new plan options to choose health care coverage for themselves and their families.

They say health care reform is here to benefit all Americans, but aspects of the reform plan are sometimes difficult to understand. If you're scratching your head in bewilderment as often as I am, this might help: I found out that USHealth Group is helping to solve that problem and bring the best possible value and service to its customers.

Planning for different aspects of life

Simply put: basic health care is not enough, and the majority of health care plans do not include vision coverage, dental coverage, life insurance, or other necessary health services. But there are companies such as USHealth Group that understand how customers need multiple insurance plans to fully cover themselves and their families.

To help us get the insurance we need, USHealth Group offers health, life, dental, and many other insurance options. Here's a full list of the plans offered by the company, from BusinessWeek: "individual health insurance, fixed indemnity medical insurance, dental insurance, insurance that provides coverage for periods of critical illness, and accident and income protection solutions; and a renewable and convertable term life policy for life, accident, and specific illness protection."

Opportunities for self-employed individuals and small business owners

It is sometimes difficult to get quality insurance if you do not have a corporate employer. But I found out that this particular company offers top-quality insurance plans for freelancers and self-employed individuals. Choose a single-person plan, or a self-employed plan designed to provide coverage to spouses and families.

Likewise, if you are a small business owner, there are options for you. The new healthcare laws require small business owners to provide health insurance if the business employs more than 50 people; business with fewer than 50 employees do not have to provide health insurance, but receive significant tax credits if they choose to offer insurance to their staff.

Either way, I was told that USHealth Group can work with small business owners to provide solutions.

Large network of doctors

I have heard way too many cases of patients who have to choose from a roster of doctors that is way too short. It's an expected consequence of small-time HMOs; finding an in-network doctor or a new primary care position is sometimes difficult. But USHealth Group has an extensive doctor network that spans the country, including primary care physicians who are accepting new patients and are able to see you right away.

The hope is that to matter what type of doctor or specialist you need, you will find the right person for your health care concerns.

Customer service is key

I don't know if you're as picky as I am when it comes to customer service. I can't sleep at night if I file a complaint that gets neglected, or if a customer service agent doesn't understand what I'm saying. But USHealth Group received an A+ ranking from the Better Business Bureau and receives high ratings in its ability to respond to customer questions or concerns.

In every aspect of its patient care and customer service, they seem to be committed to helping the health system work better for everyone. This includes listening to customer concerns, matching customers to top-level health care agents and primary care physicians, and making sure customers have everything they need to navigate the new, changing health care system.

Have you ever tried their services before? Would you like to leave feedback? Are you currently happy with your insurance plan right now? I'm curious as to how you are faring in terms of insurance plans and claims. Feel free to share your story by leaving a comment.
