Higher does of ADHD drug can impair memory and affect grades
A new study's results mimic those from a 1977 finding showing that higher doses of ADHD meds (generic Ritalin) impair students' performances on memory tests.
Although the new study used monkeys, it's believed that the results in humans would be the same. And just as some kids say ADHD meds make them feel like robots at higher doses, the monkeys acted like robots - "keeping at it" (memory tests) for up to 7 hours despite their low performance.

If you have to give your kids stimulant meds, at least consider trying brain training first! It's natural, proven and can make significant improvements in attention. Most kids get off stimulant meds and stay off them if they complete a one-on-one intensive program.
